The grave of the stonemason Archibel Wilson, a United Irishman who was hanged at Conlig on the 26th June, 1798 for "rebellion and treason", after fighting in the Irish Rebellion of 1798. It reads:
"Here lieth the body of Archibel Wilson of Conlig who departed this life June the 26 in anno 1798, eg 26yr.
Morn not, deer frends, tho I’m no more. Tho I was martred, your eyes before I am not dead, but do sleep hear. And yet once more I will apeer. That is when time will be no more. When thel be judged who falsely sore. And them that judged will judged be. Whither just or on just, then thel see Purpere, deer frends, for that grate day. When death dis sumance you away I will await you all with due care. In heven with joy to meet you there."
Over two centuries later, it still has fresh flowers regularly put on it. The grave of Janet Shaw, who died on the 16th of March, 1707, aged 40. Erected by the Rev. Edward Maguire, the Dean of Down and the rector of Bangor, in memory of his son Captain James Kinahan Maguire of the Royal Sussex Regiment, who was killed at Diamond Hill, Pretoria in 1900, during the Boer War, aged 28.
